We’re live, get the game here from £8!

I’m so excited to get this live. This might be the best thing I’ve ever made, and the stuff that I’ve seen people write because of it in playtesting is really cool.

But, what are you getting when you back the game?

• A beautiful book, illustrated by my partner Mary
• A beautifully designed book, courtesy of my designer, Mike Carr
• A beautifully delivered book, thanks to the hard work of the people at Beyond Cataclysm (cheers other Chris)
• And a solo journaling game of emotional depth that asks you if you want to survive. And I think you do! I think you want to make a life for yourself, piece by piece, against the odds, but entirely of your own choosing.

Oh, and we have some pledge levels and bundles, so if you were interested in picking up my previous work (hey, there’s even one about making monsters as an ethically challenged scientist – it’s a party game!) then this is the best way to get hold of those titles.

Here’s the pledge levels:

In other news: I’ve just sent off an interview I’ve completed for The Soloist, so keep your eyes peeled for that in the coming days and weeks of the campaign.

Thanks for everyone who backed so far. I’d love to hear from you if you did. Do you have any questions? Is there anything you need clarifying about the game? Just let me know. I think you can just reply to this email, comment below, or comment on the project updates. However you contact me, I will try and answer!

I’ll post an exciting update about our third party license and our new way to share your playthroughs with others. Some of the set up for the game is about why you write – and for you it’s partly for the next girl, wherever she is. This is our way of sharing your experience (and excellent prose) with future girls. And who knows, someone might take something from one of your playthroughs and use it in theirs – and wouldn’t that be satisfying?

Thank you, and you’ll hear from me soon.

Chris. xx

P.S. I’m sick, so apologies for any nonsense in the above.
