The Girl With The Most Delicious Heart’s Kickstarter Campaign is going live on the 2nd November 2026

We’re launching the campaign on the 2nd November 2026, and we hope you’ll be there to back us.

Here’s a spread from the game. This is the one where you find out what monster is coming to get you:

You do this by rolling a D6 and adding your current legend score (which is accumulated as you survive monsters, i.e. the longer you survive, the greater the threat). Whichever line you roll you pick one that suits, or think of something equivalent in power and threat.

I am quite proud of this monster list/ranking, especially the introduction of a great monster ‘Big Evil Bird’. I like to think of each of them as a puzzle and a prompt. A zombie (or zombies, if you prefer) might encourage players to think about things like ‘holy’ items to deal with the threat, or prompt them to think about who this person was. This is a very different interaction to say, a Dragon, which requires thinking about dealing with fire, flight, and scale (as well as scales!) – but also intelligence. There is still a chance to overcome the monster without a standing army (though that would help), and a chat with a vain dragon and the use of a horrible artefact you’ve invented is just as interesting. The idea here is that we’re combining the resources you’ve amassed (friends, protections, artefacts) and using them  in conjunction with the monster rolled to build a framework for the journaling section.

Anyone who has played an ‘OSR’ game knows that resources + threat = invention, and I hope that’s what we’re doing here.

A few cool things have happened recently:

Remember, save the date: 2/11/2026! And tell your friends! You’ve got a plus one if you need it.
