Scope: A dungeon adventure was required for the starter scenario in the core Four Borg book of approximately eight pages of tighly written and vibe-heavy traps, combat and puzzles.

I was very fortunate to be asked to write the starter adventure for the wildly ambitious Four Borg. The game is MÖRK BORG compatible, but with the twist that it only uses only four-sided dice. Beyond Cataclysm needed the adventure finishing with the intention of publishing it before a major game convention in the UK. I wrote monsters, traps, rooms and designed mechanics for the adventure – including an ‘exploding dice’ events table using only D4s. Because of the limited space available, this was an excercise in brisky conveying everything a games master needs to know to run the adventure, without losing the important flavour that all MÖRK BORG compatible games require.
